Where to begin? I am a Master Mason in good standing in a jurisdiction within the United States. All the opinions and views expressed on this blog are mine and mine alone.
The purpose of this blog is a call to action. The worst evil in the world is the indifference of Good Men.
It is my belief that this country, this world is in a moral, ethical, and sociological decline. Apathy has replaced empathy, indifference has replaced responsibility. No one takes a stand anymore to fight for what is right and just. We allow corporations, lawyers, and lobbyists to bully and coerce our politicians. The government of this nation was established to help the people, not suppress them. It was created to establish an equal playing field from which all individuals had access to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We have people being murdered everyday and living in fear, we have our civil liberties taken away in the name of security, and our economy and the state of the nation is in such disrepair that very few have the ability to achieve happiness in this country today. More and more are living in such debt that their lives are governed by their creditors. Most are in situations that they can barely take care of themselves let alone provide charity and aid to others. We need to establish a sense of personal responsibility and a sense of doing what is right, not for economic gain but because it is the right this to do.
I was always raised to do unto others as I would have them do unto me. A simple rule, it is commonly called the "Golden Rule" but as each day goes by I see it being implemented less and less. Is it really that hard to treat others with the same respect you expect of them?
Freemasonry holds the unique position of espousing the tenants of civil action and personal responsibility that I believe are needed in this day and age. Freemasons the world over need to live the values we are taught within the Lodge and encourage others by our example to do the same. I know I cannot do it alone so any interested in helping please feel free to contact me and please live your life by the Golden Rule.

if you cannot talk about politics or religion within the Lodge room, how are you to make a difference?
